Teachers at EHS have begun using technology in more ways than they ever have before. They are using educational sites like Google Drive more often. Some put projects online while others upload the notes online if a student misses a class. Taking notes through Google or Microsoft Word is becoming more and more common.
One teacher in particular is putting technology to use as much as they can.
According to Social Studies Teacher Matt Bednorz, he uses a site called Edmodo.com, a Facebook-like website that teachers can have their students join and do work on. Bednorz puts up videos and questions to be watched at home and answered.
He is able to assign large projects on Edmodo and they can then be turned in online on the student’s own time. Discussions and questions are commonly found posted by Bednorz.
For students who do not know what homework is due the next day, Bednorz posts the due homework on this site.
“It is kind of stressful because I feel like I am always being watched. At the same time though, I feel better because it will always be there for me to finish and get info from.” Kassandra Moody (10) said.
Technology is constantly adapting to educations needs. Its up to whether the teacher wants to adapt to this technology or stay with the old fashioned ways.
